iCAST project launches at Swindon Carriage Works

The £17M Innovation Centre for Applied Sustainable Technologies (iCAST) was officially launched at its new base in the Carriage Works in Swindon last week.

iCAST will operate as a research and development and collaboration hub for companies working on clean growth technologies. It will focus on translating sustainable chemical technology research into commercial products to tackle the global challenges of the climate emergency, sustainable development and plastic pollution.

The Advanced Engineering Digital Innovation Business Acceleration Hub (AEDBAH) was a 3-year business support programme funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and partnered with the University of Bath and SETsquared.

Tailored support was provided to start-ups and early-stage companies in the West of England as well as opportunities for research collaborations with academics at the University.

The Sustainable Technologies Business Acceleration Hub (STBAH) was a three-year business support programme for start-ups and early-stage companies innovating in the low carbon and sustainable technologies sector. Funded by the European Regional Development Fund the hub helped fast track and grow over 120 businesses from across the West of England.

MyNestBox’s newest software, MNB Assess, has launched to enable new build developers, land agents, architects and investors to search for non-developable “deal breakers” and constraints on land.
