Entrepreneurship Programme
Over the course of the academic year we will be offering a wide range of online workshops, speaker events and competitions to undergraduates and postgraduates who have an idea for a business. To find out more about what you can expect, take a look at our calendar of events. At the end of the Entrepreneurship Programme, participants who commit to the below will be awarded a certificate from the global No 1 business incubator, SETsquared Partnership.
You can sign up to the Entrepreneurship Programme at any stage in the academic year but to receive the SETsquared Partnership certificate you must:
Attend three online workshops of your choice
Submit a business plan (after we teach you how to write one of course!)
Pitch your business idea to us (don’t worry there will be plenty of practice sessions and advice from experts)
Record and submit a short reflective video of your experience

The SETsquared IKEEP programme will give you access to fully funded training in a wide range of business areas including:
● Business models
● Critical thinking
● Effective communication
● Problem solving and more!
Once you’ve completed your training, you’ll have the opportunity to take your new skills and help a real business solve a challenge.
You’ll form a mixed team of three undergraduates and postgraduates from different disciplines to tackle a project brief that interests you – whether that’s analysing a business model, crafting a successful marketing campaign or solving a logistics problem.
Projects last four weeks, and you’ll join the business on a remote, part-time or flexible basis. The best part is, as well as all of the CV boosting knowledge and experience you will gain, every student who successfully completes an IKEEP business project is given a £450 stipend!
NatWest Business Builder is a completely free virtual tool, open to anybody – bank customer or not. Designed to support new entrepreneurs to up-skill and develop themselves and their business at a time and pace that suits them. NatWest has invited all students on the Entrepreneurship Programme to get involved. If you don’t have a business background then this will provide you with all of the tools you require to get started.

Keyloop’s University Automotive Technology Competition 2021/22
Could you hold the next big idea to change the automotive retail industry?
The Keyloop Dealer Tech competition is an opportunity for teams or individual students (UG & PGs) to develop a new tech-focused product idea to help change the automotive retail industry. It is also a great way to work with a global tech company and improve your innovation and creative skills. 15 universities are taking part in this year’s competition with the winning idea from each university taking home £1,000!

Taking your business forward after graduation
If you are serious about exploring entrepreneurialism as a viable career choice and have an idea for a sustainable business you can apply for a development grant or innovation bursary to develop your venture once you have graduated.
