University of Bath backs the biggest celebration of digital and tech in the South West
The University of Bath Innovation Centre is partnering with the Bath Digital Festival to offer a fun-packed online programme for the entire family this week, Tuesday 20 October to Saturday 24 October.
The event series will focus on business recovery, skills and talent, plus launch a brand new Digital Skills Exchange programme to tackle the skills and job gap in the South West.
From the comfort of a screen, festival goers can learn to code, join an interactive workshop on artificial intelligence, join a masterclass in social media marketing or check out the latest tech.
Supporting the Bath Digital Festival is an opportunity for the University to strengthen the part it plays in the community and contribute to the cultural and economic wellbeing of the region.
Professor Bernie Morley, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Bath, said: “We are delighted that the University and its staff can support the staging of this year’s virtual Bath Digital Festival. It is a fantastic celebration of innovation and digital expertise and we hope that individuals and businesses will be inspired by the exciting programme of events.
“This year the University is working with partners in the local area to develop its Civic University Agreement, setting out how we contribute to the environmental, social, cultural and economic wellbeing of the region, and this event is a great illustration of what we can achieve together.”
