Release your inner INTRApreneur and set your CV apart from the crowd!
An intrapreneur works inside a company to develop an innovative idea or project that will enhance the company's future.
Would you like the chance to receive professional training, gain real-world industry experience and test your intrapreneurial skills?
The IKEEP programme will give you access to fully funded training in a wide range of business areas including:
● Business models
● Critical thinking
● Effective communication
● Problem solving and more!
Once you’ve completed your training, you’ll have the opportunity to take your new skills and apply for a remote placement where you will help a business solve a challenge they’re facing or tackle a project they haven’t had the time or resources to undertake themselves.
You’ll form a mixed team of three undergraduates and postgraduates from different disciplines to tackle a project brief that interests you – whether that’s analysing a business model, crafting a successful marketing campaign or solving a logistics problem.
Projects last four weeks, and you’ll join the business on a remote, part-time or flexible basis. The best part is, as well as all the CV boosting knowledge and experience you will gain, every student who successfully completes an IKEEP business project is given a £450 stipend as well as SETsquared accredited digital badges for your LinkedIn profile and CV.
Hear what students who have participated in the IKEEP programme have to say about their experience:
Thomas Santini, MEng(Hons) Integrated Design Engineering
“I thoroughly enjoyed my IKEEP experience. Not only did I learn more about how to kickstart your entrepreneurial career using intrapreneurial principles, but also enjoyed learning about key points on personal motivation and how to build a resilient mindset. Most importantly, however, what I enjoyed most was my placement company. Where I genuinely enjoyed everyone I met and worked with; they were so impressed with my work that from the IKEEP program sprouted a subsequent two-month-long technical internship position that I truly believe was highly beneficial for both myself and the company. I am confident that the work and impact I have made at 3DMP will persevere for many years to come and I look forward to working again with them in the future.”
Joelle Tham, MSc Management
“The IKEEP training taught me about intrapreneurship and all the theoretical concepts that I was not fully familiar with before starting IKEEP, for example, value creation and business modelling. Through the project placement, I learnt about the fast-growing 3D/XR industry and 'metaverse' that are both very new to me. I also improved on my market research and how to make suitable assumptions when creating business model canvases.”
“The opportunity to work with actual clients to gain real-world experience was what drew me to participate. IKEEP has widened my career options and sharpened my existing skills of teamwork, communication, strategy. Working on this project gave me insights on how to move forward with my personal projects and entrepreneurial journey.”
Tejaswini Mahadeva, Molecular Bioscience (Biotechnology)
“I really liked working with my teammates and the mentors of the company. Mentors were really supportive and let us think outside the box to incorporate as many ideas as we can.”
Afzal Sayed Munna, Education, EdD
“It was an amazing experience working in a team with the brilliant mentor from the placement. IKEEP was my first ever stipend project which I loved most due to its transparent learning outcomes. I was aware of what was expected from me and I was provided with appropriate information on placement and the team was just amazing.”
YeonSu Cho, MSc Management specialised in Marketing
“The IKEEP program allowed me to learn entrepreneurial skills and gain practical experience tips directly from experts in real organisations. I also learned how to effectively solve teamwork within the corporate organisation by continuing to communicate with supervisors. These experiences allowed me to expand my skills, give me insight, and make greater growth by exploring new fields.”
