In July 2015 a group, including some of Britain’s most senior business leaders, led by Sir Charlie Mayfield, Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, formed the Productivity Leadership Group to explore what could practically be done to improve productivity in the UK.
This research led to the creation of an innovative new programme called ‘Productivity through People’ to create high performance working practices in industry supply chains.

A 12-month programme for key decision-makers within small and medium-sized enterprises in the South West, starting January 2018, Productivity through People is a unique collaboration of four world-class organisations with the University of Bath School of Management, which has co-designed this innovative programme in partnership with the Be the Business, Productivity Leadership Group.

The programme has been designed to support and invest in the business leaders of the future by:

  • Giving them access to the latest techniques, thinking and research.
  • Giving them a framework to improve upon the competitiveness and efficiency of their business through developing leadership and management capability to transform working practices.
  • Helping them increase productivity through the empowerment of their workforce.

There is a rolling programme of events for 2018 - if you are interested to find out more or to join the programme call 01225 385368 or contact edo@management.bath.ac.uk. Bursaries are available.
