Adam Hickman - Acting Head of Enterprise, University of Bath

2018 is set to be an exciting year for Bath SETsquared with the rollout and expansion of more sector specific business acceleration initiatives as well as the launch of the SETsquared scale up programme. The team is evolving and growing and we are delighted to introduce some new colleagues.  

The Bath SETsquared team is part of the University of Bath Research & Innovation Services department

Adam Hickman takes over as acting Head of Enterprise as Simon Bond moves to a full time role as Innovation Director at SETsquared (although still based at the Innovation Centre in Bath). 

Adam moves from his role as Economic Development Manager at the University of Bath to deliver, and further build on, a portfolio of projects including the ERDF funded Social Enterprise and Innovation Programme and the Sustainable Technologies Business Acceleration Hub.

Rosie Bennett moves from Entrepreneur in Residence to take over as Centre Director in leading the team to support members companies, coordinate business acceleration activities and in continuing to expand our mentor and investment networks. 

We wish Ali Hadavizadeh well in his new role at Farm491!

Siobain Hone continues as the Graduate Enterprise Manager coordinating SETsquared enterprise education activities at the University as well as managing the Dragon's Den competition and the graduate enterprise bursary fund.

Daniel Oliver, Entrepreneur in Residence (Social Enterprise)

Pete Keevill will be working alongside Bath SETsquared member companies as well as supporting startups and scale ups on the Sustainable Business Accceleration Programme. An experienced mentor and business advisor, Pete formally co-founded Ubiquisys and has lived the entire startup experience from sitting around a kitchen table putting together the company's first investor pitch to selling the global company of 150 staff and $100M+ cumulative revenue to Cisco for $310M in 2013. 

 

Daniel Oliver has joined to support the impact businesses that come through the SEIP programme. With a background as an entrepreneur and track record in founding successful impact businesses, Daniel brings six years of commercial and social business sector experience, as well as six years of public sector partnership experience.

 

We look forward to introducing more team members as we expand further in the New Year.
