#2 - Laguna Lashes X IKEEP

This month, Laguna Lashes became a team of 4!

The project began with briefing the students on where the brand is currently and what our goals are for the brand relaunch. Following this, the students conducted market research to identify competitive advantages and gaps in the market, before generating new product recommendations and marketing strategies for Laguna Lashes.

At the end of the project, our students Emily, Gayathri and Cheryl conducted a fantastic presentation of their findings and recommendations for the brand. I was blown away by the creativity and attention to detail throughout the presentation and am now excited to put the project into action!

Outcomes

Having always worked on Laguna Lashes as a solo venture, it was incredible to gain experience leading a team and facilitating a project. My goal was to empower the students to be as creative and collaborative as possible throughout the process and based on the outcomes we definitely achieved that. The team came up with innovative product extensions and recommendations to improve our existing product lines and we really tested their intrapreneurial skills.

As the project comes to a close, I’m now excited to implement the findings and recommendations from the IKEEP project and to start hiring staff of my own! The project showed me the types of people I need on the team and how I can create a positive culture of creativity and innovation at Laguna Lashes.
