The STBAH are hosting a series of linked events exploring approaches to creating a sustainable economy. These events will aim to stimulate a regional conversation about how we can achieve the 3 principles of a sustainable economy bringing the voices of academics, funders, innovators, SMEs and corporates to the debate.

The first event was held on 3rd April #1 Designing out Waste and Pollution

This second event will be on the topic of #2 Keeping Products and Materials in Use

If you are an SME or start-up interested in reuse, repair, remanufacture or recycling, or new business models such as '‘access over ownership” then this event is for you!

You may have a product, service or innovation in one of these areas or may simply be curious about how you get your business ‘in shape’ to contribute to a sustainable economy?

There will be keynote talks, followed by flash presentations from SMEs innovating in reuse, repair and recycling, and then a panel discussion, rounded off with the opportunity to network and also to sign up to receive fully funded support for your business through the STBAH programme.

The Sustainable Technologies Business Acceleration Hub is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund to support start-up and existing sustainable technology and low carbon businesses.  The project will establish and scale-up over 130 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) over the next three years within the low carbon and sustainable technology fields.  The aim is to help these businesses grow, innovate and establish lasting research partnerships with the University of Bath, generating economic growth in the region and delivering on the Government’s Industry Strategy.   Further detail: www.stbah.org
