SHIFT is a consultancy focused on enabling leaders to introduce more freedom for employees. They support organisations to develop and implement smarter and more agile ways of working that support every member of the team to contribute more and be more fulfilled through their work.

Jane will discuss:

• Why self-managing teams work
• What you can do to release the potential of your team and achieve greater fulfilment
• A model for the future of work

WE Care Home Improvements offers specialist advice on home adaptations and accessible bathrooms along with a home repairs service to people living in Bristol, Bath & North East Somerset and Gloucester. Their aim is for people to live comfortably and independently at home for as long as they choose, enabling them to enjoy their lives in the surroundings they love.

WE Care began their journey of organisational change in April last year as a reaction to the funding environment they faced. An emphasis on devolved decision making, information transparency, adult conversations and people centred values have shaped their journey thus far.

Nia will discuss:

• Why they decided to make a change to the way they work
• How they have started to make these changes
• What they have learnt from their journey so far

Mayden is a market-leader in providing digital healthcare solutions to the NHS and private clinicians, supporting mental health services. They are now launching their home-grown operational management system ‘Orbit’ which aims to deliver all the functionality an SME needs to run and grow their business in one integrated package.

Mayden is on a journey of creating a different way of working, improving and growing as an organisation and as individuals through implementing self-managing teams. Employees have a positive environment, manage their own work and support each other whilst leading the company forward and building on their successes. Putting people at the heart of the organisation has meant that the company is being shaped by the talent at Mayden, working together to achieve the company’s strategic goals.

Chris will discuss:

• The impact on business growth and employees
• The need for transparency, contribution and collaboration
• How the correct processes and software support their way of work

Panel and Networking:
There will be a panel discussion, chaired by Taryn Burden from Mayden, where the audience are invited to question the panellists on any aspect of self-managing teams. There will then be time to network before we finish.

Refreshments:
Lunch will be provided at the start of the event. Tea and coffee will be served before the panel discussion.
