Four years ago, Dana set forth on a journey to find how to take the hassle out of ticket buying. With the rapid advancements in technology, the experience she imagined is now a reality.

Tickitto is the UK’s first AI event-bot, seamlessly connecting users to experiences they will love. Dana gives an update on her entrepreneurial journey. 


I sign my graduate offer employment contract with a perplexed face. I’m relieved I won’t be unemployed; deep down I’m frustrated. I have come to the realisation that the 9 to 6 is not for me, yet it would be utterly foolish to chase an idea I have.

Prior to graduating, I spend a lot of time, playing around with many different business models around my idea, speaking to local entrepreneurs and lecturers, and getting feedback and advice. The initial support I get pushes me to apply to the University of Bath’s Innovation Bursary.


Fast forward eight months, and I’m ready to launch Tickitto - The UK’s first intelligent event assistant. Receiving the bursary meant that I could take a leap of faith and jump into the world of entrepreneurship. More importantly, it opened the doors of the Innovation centre to me. The support and guidance I continue to receive from the dedicated staff and experienced resident mentors not only helped me better shape my idea and bring it to life, but also equipped me with entrepreneurial skills necessary to scale my business.

Tickitto seamlessly helps people discover events they love. Powered by vertical-based Artificial Intelligence technology, Tickitto learns users’ preferences and suggests tailored event recommendations. Tickitto is also a comparison engine which compares thousands of tickets to find user’s the best deal. The enhanced user experience makes it simple for anyone to discover and book tickets for events. For ticket vendors, this translates into higher conversion rates and ultimately higher profit margins.

My time at the innovation centre challenged me to convert what I have learned on my BSc Business Administration into a practical and rewarding experience.
